Humane Edutainment - Vietnam Style!

I just wanted to tell you all about our first official Kairos Coalition project.

We are working with partner organizations in Vietnam to design and implement a pilot Humane Education Program for primary/secondary schools and universities in the Hanoi Municipal Area...an area of approximately 1,300 square miles with a population of just over six million. Our intent is to employ a pedagogical methodology we call Humane Edutainment… essentially using traditional Vietnamese art forms (puppetry, dance, song, poetry, painting and improvisational theatre) to convey important social messages about animal welfare, environmental sustainability, empathy & tolerance. We will train and fund the operations of several Mobile Training Teams of instructors who will visit local schools to put on half-day training Humane Edutainment events.

Another aspect of the project is to produce a weekly television segment that broadcasts the best material from the MTT sessions for a nation-wide audience. Please stay tuned and visit our online collaborative workspace at:
